Have you heard about SkyHelix Sentosa yet? It is the latest addition to Sentosa’s list of attractions and boasts breathtaking 360 degree views stretching from Sentosa to the Keppel Bay area and the Southern Islands. Sit and buckle up in an open-air gondola which gently ascends to around 12 stories high!
We booked our tickets on the official site and realized that prime evening slots are taken up pretty fast. Booking your tickets a month in advance would probably help in securing the tickets you want.
The 4pm ticket which came with a complimentary non-alcoholic drink allowed us to arrive anytime from 4pm to 4.45pm. The sweltering heat that day initially left us worried about fierce sun rays we could potentially face once we ascended to the top. However, it was surprisingly breezy as the gondola provided good shelter from the sun.
The friendly staff gave an introduction to the surroundings and offered his help to take photos for all the riders. Do not worry about wearing slippers as you can request for the staff to keep it with them inside the gondola while you leave your feet dangling. While my friend and I are not afraid of heights, we think that the reassurance from the staff will definitely help to calm most nervous riders down.
Albeit a little short, the ride provided an enjoyable and temporary escape from reality. We’re definitely planning to go back in the evening some day to soak up Singapore’s gorgeous night view.
